Leighton Meester, the formidable "Gossip Girl" Queen B, has been tapped by Vera Wang to be the face of the designer's new fragrance, due out next summer.
The buzz is that the ad campaign will be shot in New York City this weekend by fashion photographer Carter Smith and will pop up in Spring 2011 magazines.
Wang told WWD she chose Meester for the "beauty, talent and spirit will inspire all the young women that I hope will enjoy this passionate, new young fragrance." It seems like Meester is the "it" girl for branding right now as she (and her enviable hair) is already the spokesperson for Herbal Essences.
In my opinion I think she is perfect for the part.
Actually I would like to see her in the publicity of Carolina Herrera CH. The model in the advertisement is Lisa Cant, but I think that Leighton would fit perfectly in there! :)

De acordo com os último rumores, a campanha publicitária será rodada em Nova York este fim de semana pelo fotógrafo de moda Carter Smith e irá aparecer na Primavera de 2011 em revistas.
Wang disse à WWD que escolheu Meester devido à "beleza, talento e espírito que inspirará todas as jovens que espera apaixonarem-se por esta nova fragrância. Parece que Meester é "a" menina ideal para produzir a marca (e seu cabelo invejável) e já é a porta-voz da Herbal Essences.
Na minha opinião acho que ela é perfeita para o papel.
Na verdade eu gostaria de vê-la na publicidade da Carolina Herrera CH. A modelo no anúncio é a Lisa Cant, mas acho que Leighton se encaixaria perfeitamente aí! :)
